Elements of the map, factions, units, events, etc., were all created with some artistic license.There are several mods which aim to make the game more istorically accurate, for example, Rome Total Realism RTR.check out this mod in the major mods section of this board.Even the mods which claim to be historically accurate fall short of the mark.there is just to much detail to be dealt with and the game mechanics that are hardcoded cannot be adjusted.
